Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 8, 2026
Who We Are
Mr. Home Office ("we", "us") operates mrhomeoffice.com, a publication about home office setups, furniture, and productivity. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit the site and how we use it.
Information We Collect
We collect very little personal information:
- Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure automatically records technical details of each visit, such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. These logs are used for security and troubleshooting and are routinely deleted.
- Email address (optional). If you subscribe to our newsletter or become a member, we store the email address you provide so we can deliver the content you signed up for. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
- Analytics. We may use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand which articles are popular. This data does not identify you personally.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not collect payment details.
Cookies
The site uses a small number of cookies that are necessary for it to function (for example, to keep members signed in). Third-party services referenced below may set their own cookies when you interact with their content or follow links to their sites.
Affiliate Links
Some of the links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission from the retailer at no additional cost to you. We participate in affiliate programs operated by the retailers and brands we feature; among others, Mr. Home Office is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, and as an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
When you click an affiliate link, the retailer or its affiliate network may set cookies to attribute your purchase. This costs you nothing and does not affect the price you pay. Affiliate relationships never influence our product recommendations.
Third-Party Services
We work with a small number of third-party services:
- Affiliate retailers — product links, as described above; these currently include Amazon (Amazon Privacy Notice).
- Pinterest — we publish images from our articles to Pinterest, and the site may include Pinterest sharing features (Pinterest Privacy Policy). We do not receive personal information about you from Pinterest.
- Unsplash — some photography on the site is sourced from Unsplash (Unsplash Privacy Policy).
Each of these services processes data under its own privacy policy.
How We Use Information
We use the information described above solely to operate the site: delivering newsletters you requested, keeping the site secure, and understanding readership in aggregate. We do not use your information for profiling and we do not share it with third parties except as required to operate the site (for example, our email delivery provider) or as required by law.
Data Retention and Security
Subscriber email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Server logs are kept for a short operational window and then deleted. The site is served over HTTPS.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below and we will respond promptly. We will never discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
Children's Privacy
The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and revise the effective date above.
